Self-Learning

Humans are all about learning. Every human needs to learn basic things and advance things with his desire. We all have gone through a common process of learning where we learn from someone, from a person like a teacher or from a friend who already knows about the thing which we desire to learn. It has always been like this… so somehow we have gotten used to this learning process. So many times it happens that we don’t learn things before anyone else or unless the teacher teaches us.
In this post, I want to point out the need for self-learning and its features. Now the first question which should come up in your mind is what is self-learning? Self-learning is a process in which a person teaches himself/herself up… Without anyone TEACHING. Remember the word teaching. Learning and teaching are two different things, when a person teaches and learns at the same time for himself/herself then we call it self-learning. But why is this self-learning important? What would it cost if you do not self-learn?
There are a few points that I would love to explain why its soo important to acquire self-learning.
·        You get to know the fundamentals.
When you try to learn something by yourself its obvious that you have a strong wish to learn that thing. At the time the thing which you wish to
learn may need some basic prerequisite. Since you have an interest in the subject you will learn and understand those fundamental concepts and will kickstart to a strong beginning to achieve masters.

·        You learn through your mistakes.
This is the biggest and most beautiful advantage of self-learning. When we are getting started with self-learning many times we try and carry out experiments on personal level Which absolutely a fabulous move to learn things up. These experiments sometimes fail or you get stuck at some point or you may get many errors at many points; in my point of view it is a good thing because when you stuck at some point, it challenges your thinking skills plus you get to search many ways to tackle the situation, you get familiarized with problem-solving methods you also learn new things. To be honest, personally, I feel happy when I get stuck at some point in the learning process because at that time I know that I am going to learning many new things and methods to tackle the problem. YOU LEARN MORE THINGS THROUGH FAILURE THAN SUCCESS.   LOVE FAILURE….!

·        You get to clear concepts.
Many times we may fail to clear concepts from the teacher. In this case, we
and search things up on the web and we end up clearing concept. As you can see we end up clearing concepts through self-learning.

·        It introduces us to new things and creates enthusiasm.
many times when we are learning somethings we get to know many more things besides our main topic. Sometimes these new are needed to develop the main topic and sometimes these are completely independent. Still, you get to know about new things and for a curious person it is always exciting to get to know about new and exciting things.

·        It makes us different from others and creates confidence.
When you self-learn few things, it makes you a few steps ahead of your friends who are moving with the class and teacher. Many times knowing things before the teacher teaches, builds up more confidence.

·        You get more time to advance your knowledge and skill.
Learning things earlier, of course gives you more time to practice your skills.
And still, there are many more advantages, I want to keep this post short so I won't be writing them.
Now a question… Will it affect my career if I don’t do any self-learning thing?
Well answer to this question varies person to person. if a person is curious to get more and more knowledge, If a person cares about clearing concepts being one step ahead of everyone, then self-learning is mandatory. If a person does not care about anything then it's fine to skip this part. But still, I would recommend everyone to apply self-learning.
For students in the first year of engineering, since you have lots of time to explore things, try searching for the curriculum of your trade, try to at least get familiarized with the subjects you’ll be learning next year.

I hope you liked what I wrote in this post. Feel free to share your thoughts in comments down below share this blog with your enthusiastic friends, just like you.
